Sneaker Side Profile QC Checklist

The side profile is the most useful sneaker QC photo because it shows the whole shape at once. On Kako QC Lab, use it before zooming into labels or tiny stitching. If the side view is wrong, the close-ups usually only explain why.

Open sneakers and compare the main product image with the warehouse side photo. The pair should keep the same toe slope, heel height, collar opening, panel spacing, and outsole line. Small lighting changes are normal. A changed silhouette is not.

Side-profile checks

• Toe box: check height, curve, and whether the front looks flattened or swollen.
• Heel counter: look for leaning shape, uneven height, or a back panel that does not sit cleanly.
• Outsole edge: scan for wavy glue lines, dark smears, or a sole that bends oddly.
• Logo and panels: compare placement against the seller image, especially on stripes, swooshes, badges, and stitched overlays.
• Collar opening: make sure both shoes match and the opening is not crushed.

When to ask for another photo

If the side photo is angled, cropped, blocked by a hand, or too dark around the collar and heel, ask for a cleaner shot before shipping. Use the spreadsheet and QC path together: one helps you find the pair, the other helps you decide whether to keep it.
