The Knitwear Rib-Recovery Photos I Ask For

A cuff can look perfectly tidy before it has been handled. What matters is whether the rib returns after a small, ordinary stretch.

I request three frames of one cuff or hem: resting flat, lightly stretched without force, and released on the same surface. The camera and distance should stay similar.

Keep the request gentle

This is not a stress test. Pulling hard can damage the garment and tells me little about normal wear. I want to see whether a modest opening leaves the rib noticeably wider, wavy or uneven.

I compare left and right cuffs when possible. Differences in width, seam tension or recovery matter more than one harmless fold from packing.

The sequence belongs in the knitwear QC path after measurements and general shape. If the released frame is unclear, I ask for one repeat rather than diagnosing from blur.

When recovery evidence remains weak, I compare another option in the knitwear category. The final status is recover, uncertain, or hold. A still photo should not quietly become proof of elasticity.
